City announces new parks employee

Tiffin native Mason Correll is rec operations manager

TIFFIN, OHIO – March 13, 2019 – The City of Tiffin has announced that Tiffin native Mason Correll has been named the new rec operations manager for the Tiffin Park and Recreation Department.

Correll previously was employed at the public works department as assistant forester and had been with the department for about three and a half years.

“I’m excited to start a new chapter and see what it has to offer me,” Correll said. “I love working for the city. It’s a really good place to work.”

In addition to the City of Tiffin, Correll also worked for Hopewell Township at Meadowbrook Park for three years during high school and then worked full-time for a year as assistant park manager.

In his new role, Correll will be coordinating summer camps, assisting with baseball leagues and sand volleyball during the summer and doing maintenance.

“It will be fun to interact with not just the youth, and some of the adult leagues the city has,” Correll said.

“I’m looking forward to having Mason join the team,” said Park Director Bryce Kuhn. He’ll be a great addition to our department.”

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said he was pleased to see Correll move into the position at the parks department. “It’s great to see one of our younger employees step up to take on new leadership roles. I congratulate Mason on his new position.”
