Bryce Kuhn, Parks and Recreation Director

TIFFIN, OHIO — July 6, 2022 – As the 2022 Fourth of July celebration at Hedges-Boyer Park has finished up, I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who made it a success. With multiple concerts, a car show, extended pool hours and a huge fireworks display, this really was our biggest celebration in my time at the City of Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department, and there are so many people that deserve a thank you. I want to specially mention our Parks and Rec staff, Mason Correll, Recreation Operations Manger, and Todd Maddox, Grounds Manager, for their help in preparing for the event and keeping everything running, and to our wonderful seasonal staff, including pool staff and grounds keepers, who also put in extra time for this event as well.

Others I wanted to thank:

  • Tiffin 200 Bicentennial Committee and Mark Scheid for helping organize Darryl Worley’s appearance and the military vehicles display
  • Dave Spridgeon for providing transportation to Darryl Worley
  • Jake Heil and the Bigfoot’s Brother band
  • Derick Mestrez for the American flags that were given out
  • Jolly’s for donating 10 gallons of root beer
  • Hempy Water for cases of water
  • Russ Gahris and the team at Bair Brothers for donation of plaques
  • Five Star Maintenance for its donation toward the fireworks and Darryl Worley concert
  • Reineke Family Dealerships for chips, T-shirts and help with the car show
  • City Councilman Steve Leopard and Josh Randell for help with the car show
  • Tiffin Police Department
  • Tiffin Fire Department
  • Greg Smith and team with Seneca county Corrections program
  • Seneca County Sheriff Fred Stevens and Chief Deputy Chuck Boyer
  • CERT

Also, I want to thank the citizens of Tiffin and everyone else who came out to the park to be part of this special day. Every year, we’re honored to celebrate our nation’s independence with a great show, and this year was even bigger as we commemorated our city’s 200th year. I hope to see everyone back for another great Fourth of July next year.

Director – Tiffin Park and Recreation
