AQUA Ohio

Madison Street Project

Aqua is currently replacing the 100-year-old water main along the entire length of Madison street in Tiffin. Crews will increase the size of the main from six-inch to eight-inch in diameter and install four new fire hydrants. Additionally, 19 new valves will be installed along the route to minimize service interruptions during future maintenance or repairs.

The project will begin at the intersection of Madison Street and East Front Street and proceed along the northern side of Madison to Schonhardt Street. Through traffic will be restricted while the project is underway Monday to Thursday between  the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. The parking spaces and sidewalk on the north side of Madison Street will be closed. Access to adjacent parking lots and most parking on the southern side of the street will be maintained. Drivers and pedestrians entering the work zone should use extra caution and be aware of the workers and construction hazards including traffic changes, moving machinery and open trenches.
