New role follows experience in radio, healthcare
TIFFIN, Ohio – March 13, 2023 – Today, the City of Tiffin is announcing the hire of Elizabeth Croak as the Director of Communications and Constitute Services for the City of Tiffin. Croak, who comes from Toledo after years in radio and customer service, replaces Nick Dutro, who was recently hired as City Administrator.
Croak spent eight years with iHeart Media Toledo, as an on-air host, producer and member of the promotional team for multiple stations. Following that career, she spent five years with ProMedica as a medical assistant in Orthopedics and patient care coordinator with the ProMedica Sleep Lab.
Croak said, “I am incredibly honored and excited to begin a career with the City of Tiffin! Being a native of Toledo, I have had the privilege to first experience Tiffin through arts and music, getting to know the creative side of the city. While there are never any limits on the lessons to be learned in healthcare, whether it be in customer service or hands on patient care, I am excited to get back to my roots in communication and begin to give back to a community that has welcomed me with open arms.”
Tiffin Mayor Dawn Iannantuono said, “I was very impressed with Liz during our hiring process and am excited to bring her onto our team! She will make a great addition and help as we transition into the next administration.”
Dutro became the first Director of Communications and Constituent Services for the City of Tiffin in January 2022. He succeeds Dale Thornton as City Administrator.
Dutro said, “I’m looking forward to working with Liz. I believe she has the right skills to continue to expand the City of Tiffin’s communications strategy and grow our social media presence.”
