In preparation for the influx of visitors for the total solar eclipse on April 8, the City of Tiffin will be hosting the first Quarterly Community Clean-up. Throughout the year, each ward will be selected as the clean-up area. The focus of spring 2024 is on the First Ward, which includes downtown.
The clean-up will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 30. Volunteers will meet at the Tiffin East Green Amphitheatre at 155 E. Market Street in downtown, and are asked to bring along any needed tools for the activity: brooms, dustpans, gardening gloves etc.
Mayor Lee Wilkinson encouraged the community's full participation. "As we breathe in that springtime air, let's come together as neighbors, roll up our sleeves, and clean up what has been left by the winter. Let's take pride in our city as we prepare to welcome visitors."
Lunch will be provided at the end of the event. Volunteers are asked to register here by Friday, March 29.
