Beginning Saturday, a new drive-up drop box will be available to the public to securely deposit payments, tax information and other documents for the City of Tiffin Finance Office. The box will have the City of Tiffin markings on the exterior and will be regularly checked during normal business hours.
City of Tiffin Public Works employees are to install the drop box Friday outside the City Hall Annex, 53 E. Market St. Parking spaces are to be altered to allow for curbside drop off.
The drop box was made available specifically out of the need to provide a drop-off location while the Finance Department is being renovated, but also had been suggested by residents. The drop box is to remain in front of City Hall Annex after renovations are complete.
Renovations at the City Hall Annex may last until November. During construction, Finance Department staff will continue to work at various offices in City Hall, 51 E. Market St. Staff for the sewer revenue department will be located on the first floor. Residents are also encouraged to use the e-file and online payment system on www.tiffinohio.gov for ease of payments.
Staff will continue to be accessible by phone and email during construction. For information during the transition, residents should direct questions to Nick Dutro, Director of Communications and Constituent Services, at (419) 448-5401.
