Updates on non-profit organization

Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission (TMAC) and the City of Tiffin are taking applications for a new mural in downtown. The mural space is located on the wall of 45 S. Washington Street, facing Cherry Alley. The final piece will be approximately 20 feet wide by 10 feet high.

The mural will be printed on 3M surface wrap, an innovative material that will allow the buildings surface to be preserved while accurately portraying the winning submission. Interested artists can submit their application Here and full details can be found Here.

Applicants must be Tiffin residents or attend school in Tiffin, and entries are due by 5 p.m. on July 31, 2023.

The winning artist will receive a $100 stipend for the artwork that will be payable when the Artist Release form is submitted and approved by the City of Tiffin.

Last month, TMAC also announced the creation of their non-profit organization, Tiffin Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts (TFAA).

President Ryan Poignon shared their mission statement “TFAA is a regional, charitable nonprofit organization that serves to support, promote, teach, and present the arts created, produced, or sponsored by Tiffin’s TMAC. TFAA provides funding and sponsoring events and programs for TMAC’s engaging artistic environment regardless of age, skill level or background. In addition to providing public arts for the community, TFAA provides scholarships and grants for artists.”
