In 2019, Tiffin City Council approved Storm Water Management Regulations. These regulations establish consistent, technically feasible, and operationally practical standards to achieve a level of storm water management and erosion and sediment control that will minimize damage to public and private property, and the degradation of water resources, and will promote and maintain the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City of Tiffin.
This program is overseen by the City of Tiffin Engineer’s Office in conjunction with City Administration, Public Works and Water Pollution Control Center.
All existing and future developments need to comply with the City of Tiffin’s Storm Water Management Regulations. Proposed developers need to ensure their proposed construction activities are compliant with the City of Tiffin’s Storm Water Management Program, Chapter 909 of the Codified Ordinances and Section 3 of the City of Tiffin’s Public Works Design Manual.
Onsite Storm Water Quantity Controls can be found within Section 3.5 of the City of Tiffin’s Public Works Design Manual.
